Received mine today from Anaheim, CA and it's cB0! Still waiting on the MSI Slocket which won't come until next week. I'm going to stick this thing in a Abit BH6 to replace a PII 300 SL2W8 that has been running at 504mhz for a couple of years.

A BIG thank you to everyone here for the Onvia + Amex + Pointclick deal! I was ready to give a Celermine 566 a go until everyone here started raving about the cB0's. I hope to replace the BH6 later on with an 815 board, so I can stick with my PC100 RAM a while longer, once they drop in price a little.

By the way, should I get a Golden Orb or see how the Intel fan does first?

so i dont think you should have any probs with the intel fan

You have to order it and call immediately and ask them to ship it from the PA warehouse. Someone did tell me theirs came from Newark in the bay area and was cb0, but I'd ask for the PA to be safe since that seems to be where everyone is getting theirs from.
You gotta call quick though, because they ship it out in about 5 minutes... You might even want to call and be on hold before you order it.

If you are gonna do serious overclocking (a 700E @ 1+ Ghz) you might want to get an Alpha. They work awesome, if you don't mind the noise. I'm getting the Golden orb. It's very quiet, doesn't cover any dimms (if you use a slocket) and works great! (Props to Anandtech)

I installed my 700 cb0 tonite and it is currently running stable at 938 on my BE6-II.. But get this, it failed at 133 FSB. Others have noted this too, where it fails at 133, but runs fine anywhere else. I'm currently at 134, and will try the magic 1045 Mhz, which others are running at. I have two sticks of CAS 3 133, a 13.6 Maxtor 7200 ATA66, a Linksys NIC, and the Herc GTSII 64 Meg from the PointClick/Onvia deal. Gotta love this forum!!!

Oh, and I'm using the Abit Slotket III for 10$ from Allstar Micro in CA.

Make sure that you are up to date on your BIOS. One of the latest BIOS updates increases stability at 133 FSB. Before I updated my BIOS, I could not run the 133 but after the flash, I run 133 on my BE6-2 with no problems.

Just curious, anyone here are getting TWO cb0 combined with the overstock.com US$69 Tyan Tiger 100 rev. B motherboard and has both CPU (dual) overclock to 933mhz with success? Wow!! IF so, that would be a super super deal!!! Love this forum!

cautery has some 700e cBO's on the way to run dual in his Tiger100... stay tuned, because he thinks they'll arrive tomorrow (Thursday)! I have one of the OEM ones on order (as well as a "real" 1832DL rev. E), but not sure if I'll be able to afford a pair of CPU's right away... ah well, the price is only going to go down, right?

I got mine from Fremont too. And I know one thing, Fremont is not Fullerton. Some cbo's are coming from Calif., but not Fullerton I guess. So I am optimistic.
