I just bought a new Enermax 350 Watt power supply, model EG365P-VE(FC). It's hooked up to an older Abit BH6 (Intel BX chipset). Now this PS has two fans, one on the bottom and one in the back like normal. THe bottom one is working fine, but the normal back one is not spinning at all. Why could this be? The PS has connectors to hook to a motherboard with PS fan monitoring support but mine doesn't have that and it never said anywhere that that had to be a requirement. Is the rear fan maybe heat sensitive or something and the fan turns on at different times?

The three pin harness must be plugged in somewhere for the rear fan to run at all. Get thee to Radio Shack, buy a 4 pin to three pin adapter, pronto.

Very common problem, and you're right, Enermax is really, really vague about this issue. Models without the FC suffix power the rear fan from a header inside the psu.

There actually was a 3 to 4 pin adapter in the PS box that I found. I didn't know what it was for until you told me. So now the fan works. Was i stupid to buy this FC model if it needs that? There was also a non FC model, but i figured the FC was better because it had an extra fan feature. I saw some pictures on Enermax's website, does the non FC model have a little knob on the back of the PS that controls the fan speed, instead of the MB connection?
