Amazon has been building their own urban shipping service for some while, an in house version of UPS or Fedex. The latter have a whole series of agreements with USPS about air/ground shipping & last leg delivery. Nah, they'll argue that a single person carrying a letter counts as a postal service. And then they'll probably say it requires mail be delivered on horseback.

Pretty much this. If the government can work well in one area, it encourages people to demand good government in other areas, and we can't have that. How will the upper crust rip off the rest of the country then?

Successful at stopping unionization, preventing liberal Seattle from making people like himself pay more to alleviate the homeless problem, brought back the gilded age into his warehouses and stands for everything liberals used to be against, but because he is a Democrat, hangs out with cool celebrities, keeps the bluecollar in check from getting too uppity and of course anti-Trump he is cool.

I don't think his statement is inconsistent with being a leader in the sense that business leaders are judged by the success of their company, not by the moral/ethical standards of how they treat their employees. I WISH that were the case.
So yeah, Bezos can be a great business leader and still have what many consider immoral or unethical business practices.
Do I think Bezos would make a competent politician in the sense that he could run a tight ship? Absolutely.
Do I think he would be good for the vulnerable, poor, and middle class - the people who are always struggling and are in desperate need of competent government now more than ever? Probably not.
I don’t think Bezos is cool, he is a pretty douchey businessman, but within the rules of our system he has been successful, unlike Trump. I’d love to see the system changed though. All the things you mentioned Bezos has done are right up Republicans alley though.

My brother has been a PO employee for about 25 years. Luckily he's on his way out because I see some very big changes in the near future. I don't use the post office much anymore, but many people still do. It's one of the few jobs that don't require a 4 year degree/technical certificate and you can still make a good living. These type of jobs are becoming extimct and will be bad for America IMO. You can say that people need to go back to college, but with student debt hovering at 1.6T and many people stuck in student debt payments for years I don't think it's a viable solution for some. Also, many people aren't good with technical jobs like plumbing, construction, etc. We need more jobs that you can start working straight out of HS, but I know that times are different.
I'm not a big Bezos fan myself. My larger question is all @1prophet ever posts is screeds complaining about how democrats or liberals are bad and have sold out everyone. I am genuinely curious who he thinks is a better alternative and why.
