New post indication?

I was just wondering if you're supposed to be able to tell which threads have new posts in them by looking at the envelope icon. For me, all the envelopes are always identical.

What rudeguy said. Also, what browser are you using and have you tried clearing your cache? Just to make sure it works, open up the forums, then close your IE/browser window, open a new one, and load up the forums again. Go into any forum and all the envelopes should be yellow, with any new replies to threads in that 20 second time span being blue

All the envelopes show as blue all the time for me in all forums w/IE6. Threads I have never looked at are blue, threads I have looked at but which have no new replies since I last looked are blue and threads that I have looked at and which have new replies since then are also blue. Threads that are stickied are all blue with what looks like a white exclamation point on them. Like Oddish I, too, see a sea of blue.

edit: Don't know what happened, but now all envelopes are yellow except for new posts. Didn't clear cache, didn't log out, didn't do anything that I know of. Must be magic.

mine are all blue as well when i read at work, but at home the blue/yellow color coding works fine. not sure what it is about work...
