New portable mp3 player

Hi all,

I'm in the market for a new portable mp3 player. I just sold my IPOD shuffle. Looking for something tiny, with not that many bells and whistles, that doesn't require any "special software" (mass storage device mounted), that I can use at the gym and walking around.

Any suggestions?

Anything I've searched is a few months old, so it'd be good to get a list of "new hot devices".

You should start with what was wrong with your ipod shuffle. Unless it was just the need for special software.

I have a iRiver s10. Look it up and let me know if you want it. Its the size of a shuffle with a screen and FM tuner. 4G i think.

I have one, only thing I don't like about it is the shuffle sucks, it plays the songs in the same order every time. There may be a firmware update or something to fix it, but I'm too lazy to look.

I would be surprised if there even WAS an mp3 player with fewer bells and whistles than the shuffle.
