it's effectively the same thing. You buy a poloroid to print instantly. if the printer only lasts 25 prints, you have a 25 shots per charge.

and yes, you could take multiple pics and pick the best one so you have "more shots" but this is a poloroid, the end results of print outs is what matters.

See it how you want it - it's a digital camera with a printer built in. It's not an old instant where every picture you take prints, or you have to print it.

Also, the old way ended up being pretty expensive when the photo didn't quite work. You didn't even know until long enough later that you couldn't always repeat the shot ("Quick! Go get Tom Cruise back over here!").

That really isn't much higher than the total cost of printing from a color inkjet.

My ex-gf bought one of the Fuji ones. It took okay wallet size pics. They were as good as the old school p&s ones, and slightly better than the old school Polaroids. But the price of the prints were through the roof. It's no wonder digital cameras killed instant photography.
