Practically most of their forums blew up after the forced update. Much of it has died down in the last week. Keep in mind only Roku got the new one yet, and there was major backlash but it is being rolled to all platforms at some point. They released a temporary 'old channel' you can load until they fix all the BS. Unfortunately, most of the BS is staying as they soldout to some company to sponsor all their crap paid stuff. Many people are leaving plex for Emby - but Emby has some work to do (also closed it's open source recently).

Well said. Plex was great when I started it (I was using another client and late to adopt Plex) because after basic setup on the server everything worked very nicely on the roku devices, and worked great, until the last update. I tried Emby, as it is a lot closer to how Plex used to operate, but they go too far the other way - looks extremely bland with the basic UI through the Ruku and I don't really want to have to take the time to customize it.

The major issue I have with the current Plex UI is that it ignores folders - so if you had your shows sorted by folders, forget about finding them (or a specific season of them) through the folder like you could before. They also moved lots of functionality to other places (for example, some options in a tv series can now only be found when you are plaxing the episode, and some functionality has been moved to a down arrow.

I would say it's more equivalent to Windows 8 than Windows 10 - everything is there, but they moved way too many things at one time to make reasinable sense to most people.

Can someone post a Screenshot of the new plex? Not sure if I've seen it yet.

I kinda love Plex too much to want to switch at the moment...

They have a long history of basically doing what they want. That's not usually an issue if you are not forced into updates (or not paying for something). I have gotten to a point that I am really beginning to hate technology because people and their greed constantly ruin good things for the sake of 'money'. Roku is on a slippery slope too.

Roku is on a slippery slope too.
Tell me about it. Roku keeps breaking HDCP in their software updates. It will work fine for a while then all of a sudden the picture will constantly flicker to blue screen then back in while the audio cuts out. I check and it will have auto downloaded a new update. It will be broken for months while they deny any issues then it will update again and it will be fixed for a few weeks until the next update breaks it again. I've tried but I can't roll back the updates.

Emby recently forced a Roku update through which is buggy. It broke several things and they say they will fix it but still waiting.
