That's just......classless. I wouldn't want to eat like that.

It's pizza. It's not like they're eating filet mignon off of the thing.

Not Green, but could be convenient.

I can understand how it's green in that you don't need to waste extra resources on plates.. but I place it a bit more into the convenient area. Would definitely be nice for those study sessions/office occasions where you order in pizza.

They need to figure out how to recycle pizza boxes. That would be a better invention.

They need to figure out how to be able to eat pizza boxes. That would be a better invention.

They have been doing this where I live for at least 5 years now.

Wow and I thought I lived in such a progressive city. Last time I tried to recycle a few pizza boxes, I got a $40 ticket because they didn't take them and then they wound up in the street. 🙁

According to the douchebag who gave me the ticket the pizza boxes are too greasy to get recycled.

I hate to burst bubbles, but if youre going to be tearing boxes near your food, do it away from the pizza. The fibers released from all the tearing will float onto the food and eventually wind up in your stomach.

While some will say its no big deal, and it probably isnt, I personally try to avoid getting pigmented wood fibers on my food if at all possible. Have you ever looked inside a cup of water thats been sitting out all night? If you look on the surface you might see it full of dust. Would you drink that if you could have a fresh one from the sink?

Well, you serve your pizza on your silver plates, and other people will use the cardboard plate. I am of the no plate group, myself.

That's really stretching for a "Green" justification though. I think the Convenience angle makes far more sense, but Marketing might disagree I suppose.
