I had a LG Dare with Verizon and was recently eligible for the new every 2 thing. I don't use internet, don't text, and wanted something small in a flip phone that had a calendar and could use a bluetooth headset that I could just put in my pocket. After much research I decided on a Samsung Convoy.

I like the phone's size, call quality and volume, but the signal seems to fluctuate a lot and doesn't seem as good as my LG Dare's signal.

The main issue I had with the Dare was that the touch screen kept going off doing stuff that I didn't want it to do. I also disliked carrying it in a holster on my belt. the touch screen was kind of flaky and not that great, plus I would hit other buttons like when trying to dial and constantly had to fix that. I didn't use like 90% of the features it had.

I don't know if I should return it and get something else or just deal with it or go back to the LG Dare.

If I get something else, I have no idea what to get. None of the other phones were really that great imo and I don't want a data plan at all. I also don't want to spend much, if any money if I can help it.

I've always had good luck with Motorola phones. The Entice W766 looks decent. Not great, but okay.

You should be able to get the Motorola Barrage for around $30 (that's the price it is on newegg). It's Military Spec 810F certified so it should be pretty durable.
