i was looking over the phone and noticed what appears to be a regular small usb port on it. does anybody know what this can be used for? do i need motorola dedicated software?

thanks 🙂

I don't quite understand the point of having a small USB slot (if indeed it has one). Fine you can pick up a cheap cable more easily. My V500 works fine with a cheap USB cable I picked up for £3.

Oh yeah forgot:

Moto's dedicated software (mobile phonetools) is pretty damn good but you can also use any other software for moto phones (but not by moto). Their PST software is also good, allowing you to apply newer flash (think of this as a driver) and flex (think of this as software) to your phone.

definately a usb port, even has the usb logo on it.

I've got a v180, and bought a cheap mini USB cable. Once you get the Phonetools software, you can then sync your calendar and contacts with the phone. Very handy if you have many contacts. The Phonetools software goes for about $50.
