New phone by april..

qwerty is good, do you have needs for a smartphone? the newest Motorola Q model is pretty decent, some people like the new LG, but it's not WM phone. I liked my Q's qwerty because I could text with one hand pretty well. the LG's with the sideways keyboards are hard to text with 1 hand, I know people who turn the phone and text with the keyboard vertical. It would take me too long to get use to the key layout there.

the QM has the best qwerty I've used on any cell phone. If you don't need a smartphone Look at the LG NV. Also how much do you want to spend? new 2 can give you a good deal but you'll still end up paying for most qwerty phones. Some will still run over $200 bucks 🙁

My NE2 is 4/18 and I'm looking at the Samsung Glyde
the Blackberry Curve and Verizon Touch are due soon also.

you can, but you get charged data usage, when I had my Q I dropped the data plan and would look over at my phone from time to time to see the data activity light on. Not sure what it was doing, I had nothing enabled that used data. It hit 800k in 1 week I figure by 1 cent a per k that was 8 bucks. Also, Verizon probably won't give you as good a deal if you get a smartphone and don't sign up for a data package.

Verizon should have the Blackberry Curve by then, if not out, at least a release date will be available. Full size qwerty with all the goodies.

If you plan on doing something with data, I'd recommend the LG Voyager - I love my Q and my dad's BB 8830, but the data service for a PDA is ~40 a month, vs. ~20 for a standard phone.

With BBs, it's only $30/month.
