Enermax Noisetaker 480W
WD 80GB 7200RPM 8MB

Everything's plugged in correctly the case to the motherboard psu to the mobo too. I can't figure out what seems to be the problem. Anybody have a slight idea? It starts for a second the fans start spinning then it shuts off.

try pulling components until/if you find it then boots up... it's important you do this one at a time, in order to try and find out whats hampering it from starting.

give that a try first.

check that youre not shorting anything. Also take out cards unplugg HDDs. Just leave the GFX, CPU and Memory. See if it boots up. looks like you are shortening something.

He meant "shorting" -- if you are missing one of the brass standoffs under the motherboard and the motherboard touches the case underneath, you get a short. If you used a brass standoff where there is no screw hole on the motherboard, you can get a short that way.

Aside from the above, did you disconnect everything from the power supply (all drives and case fans)?

Did you remove any sound and network cards?

Last thing to try is the video card, after removing it you'll get a beep but the CPU fan should spin and the power supply should stay on.
