New PC won't post

Well I just built a new pc today, with the specs in the "My system specs" link. I can't get it to post. I have double checked that I have everything hooked up and secure. I just got the video card "new" from eBay, so I thought it may be the problem. But the fan is spinning on it, so I know it isn't completely dead.

My HDD light doesn't do anything, and I cannot eject either of my DVD-ROM drives. Is my motherboard DOA? Or is there something I'm missing....

This is really depressing.

Nevermind. I'm too embarassed to tell you what I forgot to do...

But now I get "CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded"

Can I just go into BIOS like normal now or do I need to look at something else

you probably figured it out already, but yes you can still go in the bios like normal after you clear the cmos. my first complete build took hours for me to figure out what i was doing wrong, and it was something silly, problems are a good learning experience.
