I havent really noticed since I don't really buy my games, but the last time I did, it did come in a box, but there was a jewel case inside. I noticed PS2 games come in their own fancy box, but i dont mind it at all, stackable with the DvDs

danny~!

PS2 Cases are fine with me too... just SOME kind of hard case, not this Paper case crap.

1942 came in a jewel case
nolf 2 came in a jewel case
simcity 4 came in a jewel case
syberia did
half llife did
starfleet command did
warcraft 3 did

i dunno which games came in cardboard😛

omfg, that is so fscking stupid, you mean to tell me that most games in the US come in jewel cases.

i was in a gameshop here in the uk a few days ago and there were no jewel cases, only nice swish DVD cases.

i love them as they fit in on the end of all my dvd's all snug.

now if only Warner Bros would stop with the cardboard dvd cases then it would all be nice and neat 😛

All the PC games I've bought recently have come in DVD style boxes, instead of those big cardboard things.

Not just budget releases either.

Here in Canada it seems to be a mixed bag.

1) Max Payne, UT2k3, and Freelancer came in DVD cases
2) BF1942/RtR, Unreal 2, Medal of Honour/Spearhead, NFS HP2, Sim City 4, and NOLF 2 came in jewel cases
3) Rallisport Challenge came in a cardboard thingy

Haven't seen any paper sleaves yet. You could always go to Radio Shack and buy a bunch of jewel cases cheap.

In Texas, they went from the big cardboard boxes to smaller cardboard boxes. I wish we had the DVD case though. Much more compact.

Doesn't matter with me. I don't play a game longer than a month or two, then it goes in my box of lost interest... so at most i'll only have 2-3 games laying around. And even then, once i install a game, i normally look for a crack for it anyways.

I like em in the DVD cases anyway. They don't break so easy like the stupid jewel cases. Take less room and they look better sitting around than cardboard boxes too.

I would rather the games come in DVD cases and have packaging just like the xbox/ps2/gc games...

That will leave more shelf space (even more than those little boxes) and leave me with a nice dvd case 🙂

Most seem to come in DVD cases that I see, and you can get a DVD rack for them. If the $0.10 isn't that much, why not buy some empty cases yourself, then if the ones you have break you can replace them as well 😛

He's talking about REAL games, you know, for a PC. Not these imposters for consoles.

amish

Mafia, GTA3, Unreal 2, UT2k3, Black and White, all PC games, all DVD cases 😛
Most budget games I've seen.

GTA3 & Unreal2= I got mine in jewel cases 😛

Why not just sell PC games in DVD cases? That would save even more shelf space than the small boxes and would be preferable to those paper sleeves.

Oh Man!!, I'll second that! :Q I can accept many, many things but fish sticks w/out tarter sauce, or fish sandwhiches w/not enough tarter sauce... Grrrrr.
