Who else is REALLY tried of games not coming in jewel cases anymore? It pisses me off to no end because I keep all my PC games on a CD rack. You know Im spending $50 and you cant include a darn 10 cent jewel case! I wan't to collect all these damn paper CD envelopes and dumb em on the distrubtors door step. Any else agree that it's getting stupid? Any way for them to save 10 cents I guess.

I don't mind cause I got a binder, but I would still rather have a jewel case for when i make cds.

Most seem to come in DVD cases that I see, and you can get a DVD rack for them. If the $0.10 isn't that much, why not buy some empty cases yourself, then if the ones you have break you can replace them as well :p

He's talking about REAL games, you know, for a PC. Not these imposters for consoles.

The only games I had in paper cases were Giants (free with sound card) OEM ERacer/Incoming forces (GFX card) and some flight sim (free with order of Baldurs Gate).
Basically, seems only free games come in crappy packaging :p

Recently both UT2003 and Master of Orion 3 both came without jewel cases. It is VERY annoying to me. And I just realized their both infogrames games... I think I'm gonna send infogrames a email because Im tired of these stupid paper cases.

If the $0.10 isn't that much, why not buy some empty cases yourself, then if the ones you have break you can replace them as well

Well there are a few reasons.... first both of these games are multiple CDs.... it's hard to find jewel cases to buy that hold 2 or 3 CDs. Second reason... there is no cover or side labels... which means I have to print them and that doesnt look half as good as if they had given you one with the game. And 3rd... distributors buy the jewel caes in bulk so its alot cheaper for them... its alot more then $.10 if I have to buy them.

Not around here. All the games I've purchsed recently have been in paper cases.

Age of Mythology
Warcraft 3
Ghost Recon and the 2 add on's
Asheron's Call 2

Your AoM and WC3 came in paper cases? Im really glad mine didn't or Id be ranting even worse then I already am :D

And part of the reason some might be getting them in DVD cases is if it's in a different country. Sometimes developers use different distrubtors for different countries etc..

Besides, you pay $50 for the game only for it to come in 2¢ paper sleeves. That just sucks.

I really don't care because I keep them in a wallet anyway.

Although if WC3 would have come in a jewel case at least it wouldn't have been a total waste. I could use the jewel case for somthing else...

Damn right it does! :) Seriously tho am I just off my rocker expecting games to come in jewel cases? I don't think so. They've come that way for years and years.

I havent really noticed since I don't really buy my games, but the last time I did, it did come in a box, but there was a jewel case inside. I noticed PS2 games come in their own fancy box, but i dont mind it at all, stackable with the DvDs

danny~!

Max Payne came in a DVD case too. That was the first PC game that I bought that did.
