New pc build HDD?

I am making a new i7 build and plan on using my existing two hard drives in the new system. Can I simply install these as is and simply power them up with the new mb, cpu and memory?
 
Chances are, you will have issues, but you might not. I always do a clean install of windows for a new mobo/cpu combo. There is some discussion about it in this thread.
