I just got this rig put together and I'm wondering what 3dmarks I should be getting with 3DMark03 since I've never used it.

TT XaserIII V1000D
Enermax 465(no knob)
A7N8X Deluxe Rev.2
Corsair 512mb TwinX3200
XP 2500+ Retail
Radeon 9600 Pro
Barracuda 40gb
XP Pro

TIA guys.

Anyone else but me experience extremely low frame rates, like the program will sometimes show zero FPS and the screen will skip?

P4 2.4B @ 2.9GHZ
i845PE
512mb Crucial DDR PC2700
GeForce4 Ti 4400 128mb @ 300/649

I get about 1600 3dmarks when everyone else is in the high 2000s

Well I'm getting like mid 1300s so can I get some tweaking help here or do I need to try and get it in another forum?

Thanks.

I'll also humor the n00b by taking the bait and pointing out that you can't tell the difference between "Running Linux" and "Running Mandrake 9.1" since the latter saves me the time it takes to write in every technichal post "I am running Mandrake 9.1." So, in conclusion, not only are you a moron for wasting time asking about a pointless benchmark, but you also have no critical thinking ability...

Well if you're running Mandrake 9.1, you're a moron for not getting a real distro.

"Oh little mister dabest please tell me how much of a n00b I really am"!

I like you, you're ther kinda guy that goes into a skirmish without any knowledge of your opponent and ends up dead in the early stages of the fight. I have been cruisin and posting on AT since '95 and have been away doing life the last couple of years so I'm not hurt by your "n00b" description of me. As a matter of fact it sounds like I've been doing 'puters longer than you've been an adult, if you are an adult, since your demeanor makes you sound like a kid I question the adult status.

Since everything that is done with computers is based on bettering the box the benchmark is the way things are compared so it's normal for everyone to want to compare their pc to the base.

Oh and I know about Linux, Mandrake, Redhat and all other forms of Linux since I work in the Tech sector of my co. and I also know that Linux is in litigation over their OS and that all Linux is being removed from the 2 boxes we have it on so that when they lose we won't have any operating problems.

And when you search out posts just to call people morons expect them to come back at you and try to take it a little better. Thin skin is a no-no in the forums. Have a good one.

4-5k for a 9600 Pro isn't accurate, actually. If I limit my search on ORB to your CPU speed, your video chipset, and WinXP, the three scores there are in the low 3k's, so you still have something going on there. Are you runing the Cat 3.4's? Are you running the latest bios for your mobo? Is your memory running at it's proper speed?

I got a 1664 with my system

Abit NF7-S
2800+
GeIL DDR 400 512
GF4 Ti4400 @ 300/600
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz

I was kinda disappointed but it seems accurate :)

3dmark doesnt represent performance in real games. Use 3dmark 2001, or even better. Use real games.

3dmark 2001 at least used graphics engines that were used in games after its release. 2003s are entirely proprietary.

I would expect yours to be somewhere in 2000's. I know, that the 4xxx series dont have "hardware" DX9, but still.

Dang, we need a tad more data:
1) did u overclock?
2) did u do a clean install?
3) did u run the test at deafult, with AA and AF disabled?
4) WOULD BE REALLY, REALLY helpful, if u upload your results to Futuremark.com and give us a link, so we can see what u got.

Have you installed motherboard drivers?
AGP speed set to 4x? (no idea if the motherboard might do only 2x or whatever, most if this is general Q's)
What Cat's are you using?

(Can you run 3DMark 2003 with only DX 8.1 installed and have it run the DX7&8 tests but not 9 tests?)
