You know it's interesting everyone gives AMD marketing a hard time, but a complete pass for Nvidia marketing. Nvidia's blog claiming
delivers 3x more performance in applications like Maya
AMD gives you charts and then endnotes for the exact test parameters to get to the chart value. Nvidia just makes up a number with nothing to back it up. Looking at the test results Maya regresses in perf contrary to the claim and only snx has perf increase to justify the claim.

Assuming these figures are true, that is some serious gimping going on. I guess this same performance gimping is happening from the 1080ti on down.
