I'm a Palm fan and owner, but i hate the new m1xx series of palms. The screens are smaller and they just feel cheap. The m5 series is nice, but the non-color on is expensive for what you get and the color one just doesn't have an impressive screen. My IIIc is nicer. I'm not sure if this new Palm is a step forward or not.

Besides, a $150 Compaq iPAQ 3135 butt humps any grey-scale Palm :)

What is the point of all these new Palms? It's a toy-like version of the m500. Talk about a company without much innovation...

rotflmao :)

Seriously though... I have a Palm IIIxe, and in my mind that was the last decent thing they made aside from the 505. VII series was too big, Palm.Net too expensive.

Getting ready to move up to an IPaq... as long as the company pays for it, of course ;)

Why pay $250 for this when you can get the Sony Clie S320 for $50 less AND get a rechargeable battery instead of dealing with AAAs?

Why pay $200 for the Sony Clie when you can get the SUPERIOUR iPAQ 3135 for $50 less:p

<< Cause the clie fits in your pocket, and the battery lasts twice as long! >>

Melts in your mouth, not in your hands!:p The iPAQ fits in my pocket and I can go a week without recharging if need be on my COLOR iPAQ with regular daily use.

I own both a Visor and an iPaq. I've said it before and I'll say it again...

Which is better, all depends on your needs. If you only need what the Palm OS offers (contacts, memos, calendar, etc...) Then it is a much better tool for you. Navigating quickly through the menus for that quick phone number is much more straightforward on the Palm OS.

If you crave more (excel, word, media, etc..) Then the iPaq is the only choice.

Hehe, I know a diehard PPC fan when I see one. I still cant make my mind up. Both sides have their advantages.

I've had 13 PDAs in the past year and a half! Theres always something irritating about each one of them. Although....the new jornada, if it is how its rumored to be, is going to be pretty damn perfect...

Well, its about to be 14. Anyone wanna buy a Clie 710?

And as far as the iPaq fitting in a pocket, with a sleeve, I hope you have big pockets, no pun intended...

I have the SilverSlider CompactFlash sleeve and it is very thin and light. But most of the time I carry the iPAQ "naked"

Like I said, I hope you have big pockets! No way I'd pay like $80 bucks (or was it more) for something that should have been internal to begin with!

I quite agree with this assessment I can't believe Palm shrunk the screen size of the m100's as compared to the old 3xe's. Dumb and dumber. As is if the screens were not borderline too small already. The 3xe?s had flash memory in them too, something the m100?s don?t have. The 3xe?s were a nice professional looking design whereas the m100?s look like a life-raft or a women?s makeup-up kit, although the m125 seems to look a little better. The m100?s are a degrade compared to the 3 series.

Future PDA?s and laptops will probably have these OLED?s ?(Organic Light Emitting Diodes), a really cool new technology about to appear in cell-phones.
