New P4S5A won't reboot...Help please.

Just got my new ECS P4S5A and I'm having a couple problems. First, after going through the BIOS and setting things up, it asks if I want to Save & Exit, to which I answer YES. However, now the screen goes blank, and nothing happens. I try pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL to reboot, still nothing. So I press the reset button, and everything is back to normal. But it's not back to normal. No matter when I try to reboot the machine, the system just hangs. For instance, when cancelling out of the Win2K install, it says Press F3 to reboot. I press F3, hang. CTRL-ALT-DEL, hang. What's weird is that it start to seek the floppy drive, and it does it over and over again.

Do I have something setup wrong, or do I have a bad board? Please help.

If your board is freezing withing a few seconds or even a minute after a reboot - it could be that your heatsink is properly applied to the P4. Have you had a chance to check the hardware monitors in the BIOS to see what the temp is on the P4? If the temps get beyond what is recommended for a P4, then the proc will shut down and you'll basically sit there idle. I had this similar problem when I first put together my P4S5A and I figured it had to be the heat.. so sure enough it turns out that my retention clip wasn't properly installed onto the board. You have to make sure it's pressed down all the way. My HS wasn't actually touching the processor (the thermal grease wasn't touched at all!) because my retention clip was about 2 mm further up than it should have been.
