New p4 system, suggestions? Need help on mobo, and PS.

I am going to be building a new system soon, and I was wondering what mobo you guys would recommend. I am wanting 333 ddr, ATA133, and RAID. Was also wanting AGP/PCI lock. I saw the Giga-byte GA-8IGXP seemed awesome, but it doesn't seem to exist yet. I can't find that board anywhere to purchase it. I am planning on overclocking a 2.4, not sure if I can afford watercooling yet. I'm going to get some good corsair ddr 3200 also. What PS would you reccomend? I was surprised when I found this Logic 460w Power Supply for only $35 at directron, but I was worried when I saw I couldn't add it on the "add powersupply" option at the Case I am wanting to buy's page. Anyways, thanks for your comments ahead of time.

If you're willing to spend, I'd suggest you get the Asus P4B533-V. Otherwise, the EPoX 4G4A(I|+) and the Abit BG7 seem to be the most popular budget boards. Make sure you get a P4 2.4B, and not a P4 2.4A and there's no need for a watercooling setup for OC'ing a P4, since heat is rarely the limiting OC factor with the new Northwood cores. Was for PSU, I would strongly recommend getting an Antec True Power, Enermax, or Sparkle brand PSU. Antec True Power PSUs are my favorite because of the silence and high quality, and I have a True Power 330, which would probably be better and last longer than that Logic 460w, even though its rated lower.

So how many W's do you think my PS needs to be? I am also planning on getting a radeon 9700, and I am running two 40gb 7200RPM HDs. Thanks.

I think I've decided on a sparkle 400w, which I found on pricewatch for $71 after shipping. More then I would have anticipated to spend on a powersupply, but I should have it for a while. Still debating on Mobo. I will probably order case and PS when I get paid, then just save money until I have enough to buy everything else at once. Shouldn't be too long, another paycheck I'm hoping, since I really only need Mobo and CPU then. Thanks for help so far.

From what I see, the Epox 4g4a+ doesn't have 333 ddr support 🙁 Correct me if I'm wrong, but everywhere I find it, it's only up to ddr 2100.

None of the Intel DDR chipsets have "official" PC2700 support, but I can assure it will use PC2700 just fine 🙂 It has a 4:5 divider which enables PC2700 support.

I found that now Crazy, thanks... Right now Epox is my top choice, but it doesn't seem that their board has the AGP/PCI lock I was wanting... WHY DOES THAT GIGABYTE BOARD SEEM NON-EXISTANT?!?! arg. It seems perfect and has everything I want. I cannot find it anywhere. I saw a giga-byte roadmap that said it was planned to be realeased may '02, heh. Anyone have an idea of when it will actualy be available? I will wait for it if it will only be a couple more weeks.

Excellent, then I will probably be getting that board 🙂 I was hoping it would, because I'm going to have a black case with blue cold cathodes, and that black mobo will look nice... so would the blue giga-byte, but since it doesn't exist yet.... 🙂
