New Overclocker - Some Questions

I am going to get an Athlon 1.4 and I was wondering...

1) How high can I get it (Stable and Not) with a Soyo SY-K7V Dragon Plus Motherboard, 256-512 MB DDR PC2100 Ram, and a Voodoo 2 Banshee (PCI) Vidio card?

2) What is it's temperature High and Low (Overclocked and Not)?

3) Is it locked?

4) If it is locked, How do I unlock it?

5) What kind of HSF should I get if I am going to overclock it?

Generally AYHJA 1.4 Ghz (if u have one) will O/C to around 1.6 Ghz w/ some decent setup.

All depends on ur ambient & case temp. Generally the CPU is about 10C hotter than the case temp. I personally dun like temp over 65C.

Most 1.4 Ghz is unlocked. U have to looked at those L1 bridges to be sure.

4) If it is locked, How do I unlock it?
See here. Unlocking the Duron is the same as unlocking the Athlon.

Depend on ur budget & how high u wish to get. Generally, some for u to look at is sk-6, alpha, swiftech, GW.
