new overclocker here - pIII 800E w/asus cusl2

so here's the deal: i bought a asus cusl2 with pIII 800E along with 256 mb pc133 mushkin top of the line garbage cas3.....

i REALLY want to overclock my comp and was wondering what is the highest i can go and still have it rock stable? and how exactly would i do that?

Make sure you have a good heatsink/fan setup.
Start by bumping your fsb speed up in the bios maybe start at 106mhz (848mhz). If it's not stable try increasing the voltage to 1.70 and higher if still not stable. Then repeat. You really don't want to go higher than 1.85v, depending on your cooling setup. Then try to bump the fsb up some more. If it seems stable at first and then windows crashes after a while, bump up the voltage or lower the speed.

There's no way to say what speed will be stable. You just push it 'til it complains. See:

P.S.
As they note in the above article, before you begin to o'clock RTM to see what to do if you o'clock too far and the system won't boot or startup right - there are usually simple procedures to reset the BIOS or CMOS so that the PC will then boot at a safe speed. Then you have to go back and set the BIOS settings again, but to a safer level. It's just trial and error, playing with FSB, memory bus, RAM CAS settings, voltage etc.
