Care to learn how to spell before criticizing how someone else communicates?

i blame this on homeland security and fema. There is no reason it should have taken this long to get help out there. But the 2 departments it is there job to help just dropped the ball.

at least now they are actually on the move getting help out there (little late though. thousands are dead and going to die).

I just wonder how many law suits are going to be be filled against the government? These people knew they were living in a bad area. YET chose to stay even after being told to leave. Will the courts cave in and give them money like the BS people of 9/11? hmm should be fun!

Wow you really must have been hitting the pipe hard the past few days! Blame it on FEMA ???? What FEMA was here and units placed all around New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Mississippi Coast and Alabama Coast. Not to mention the units that lay in wait in northern Louisiana and Florida. But hey your in Esmond, Illinois I guess you know a whole lot more about this whole thing than the people that are here living through it!

The Mayor of New Orleans is just as clueless as you are too. The man does not understand the law nor his own job when it comes down to it and that is what this audio is all about it's an A@@ saving device to make it seem like he's doing something from his plush Baton Rouge hotel room with back up power gen. The big problem is the fact that there were sooooo many that did not evacuate that's why there will be thousands dead. As for the remarks people make about that they were poor blah blah they had no means to escape blah blah it's total BULLSH!T....... There were busses and more means of evacuation than were used. They just did not want to get out of town.

Yes you are correct when you said these people knew they were in a bad spot and they were told. If it's anyones problem unless they are so incapable of doing for themselves IE mental/age/phisicaly disabled then they should have left on their own free will. The last thing I will say is I'm upset with the cresecent city police that never showed up for work to maintain order. They just like the military pledge an oath to serve and protect they just ran and quit their jobs *sigh* and for those officers that stayed *salute*

The mayor needs to be directing his anger at the Governor, Senators, and House Representatives of the state.

You know the position of President use to be Iconic. When the hell did he (and eventually she) become the Manager of everything?

Where was the level of help that they are getting today? IT should have been there a day or two before!

Someone f-up. thats it someone just did not do there job. It took the news agency's reporting how there is little help for 2 days before real help came.

The people in charge were not really ready for something like this. There is no excuse for it taking this long. NONE.

yes there was some help in place. NOT nearly enough. You can sit and say i know nothing about it since i am in IL. But it does not take a genius to figure they took to damn long to get there to help.

The Mayor should really be yelling in a mirror because he should have gotten more out and not running from his city when he did. If anyone is to blame for piss poor planning it's the mayor that did nothing to prepair in the first place. I'm sorry not trying to turn this into a political debate...

so how do you drive a truck full of help into a city that's under water with criminals shooting at everything?

And how the Fuvk do you plan on getting it here ? from where also ????
This level of help today ???? what are you talking about your telling me that every one should be there the moment it happens? It takes time to move resources and it takes time to gather troops and manpower not to mention the time to clear any form of path or make any sutible landing site. The news has done nothing more than cause problems in getting more help and aid not the other way around. News media around the area have rented choppers /water planes/pilots for months at a time to take pictures and video when that resource could have been used for rescues and food drops. How much help is needed to be in place???? Did you foresee this event with your magic eye and know we needed 30K troops here ? NO! Don't argue the fact that you are focusing on MEDIA coverage I am working on FIRST HAND knowledge and a house full of guests and friends we all are living it day to freaking day. When you come down here and start pulling bodies out of the water or hacking through roofs or stopping a looter then you can bitch about the situation.

If you want an answer on who F-up look at the Mayor he's the flippin problem. Mississippi's mayors and the governor have John wayned up and are rock solid. There problems mostly dry are serious as well but they know what they are doing. When you shove a thug in office you only get a thug later on and thats what this mayor is a thug.

Uh, NOLA is not like any other state, as they did not have levees that broke and flooded the damn city. Other states face the same type/kind of damage every year. The focus is on NOLA because its like a local dam breaking and flooding an entire city.

Please don't say crap sheese....... NO IT'S NOT CONFIRMED..... The damn trucks and hummers have been enroute lang before this. The choppers as well in two days the USCG and private helos rescues 1600+ people off of rootops and out of the water. Trucks can make it through because they have some what made a traffic path to follow. Some areas of Nawlins will be allowed to come back maybe on monday or Tues to reclaim home items (maybe) thats mostlikely Kenner area jefferson then they must leave after they collect their stuff. Please don't believe everything you see on the news people remember they have to have ratings aswell and need to spice any event up as much as they can. I will get some pics up as soon as I can of the areas non media related pics that is.

wow thats pretty damn ignorant. So I guess the solution would have been to load up 100000+ people on to buses and drive them off to neverland? Where do you expect the Mayor to singlehandedly drive them to? Baton Rouge? No city can accomodate that many people in 1-2 days notice. Whos is going to provide food, water and shelter to all those people? You? Is it the Mayor's fault that the Superdome failed? Because those people should've been on buses? The ignorance is strong.

I expect it to get there faster then what it took. THe feds were slow on this. once they got off there ass it went fast.

I agree the Mayer did a crappy job. He didnt push enough to get everyone evacutated. How they didnt think being in a city that was UNDER sea level with the biggest storm in years was a bad thing? just amazes me that people stayed.

But i also feel from what i have read/seen that the agency's and the Federal goverment was slow on this. You can disagree with me all you want but again i still feel they could have responded faster then what it took.

Uh, NOLA is not like any other state, as they did not have levees that broke and flooded the damn city. Other states face the same type/kind of damage every year. The focus is on NOLA because its like a local dam breaking and flooding an entire city.

Ummmm ok your telling me flooding vrs total distruction is not the same. Oh and by the way did I mention I am here ???? Yeah I know the situation.

The mayor is right, the city/state just doesn't have the resources to deal with such a disaster, the federal government needs to respond faster. Bush really dropped the ball on this one (what else is new) :|

How they didnt think being in a city that was UNDER sea level with the biggest storm in years was a bad thing?
I don't understand why people keep saying this. Do people not understand the history of the city or the importance of it? Perhaps thats why NO is only 500k population instead of millions?

That being said, thats very hypocritical for people to say things like that especially when there's a huge fault line running through San Francisco area and any minute now you could have a massive earthquake killing millions of people. Sure the percantage is small, but it could happen. Why don't you call them ignorant for not moving away to a safe place like Idaho and grow potatoes?

/not directed at waggy specifically
