6800GS = + $35 - faster graphics card
all for $15 less than original setup.

Chaintech VNF4 = - $10 - still overclocks really well
1 gig PC3200 buffalo ram = - $75 - Buffalo makes respectable value ram
EVGA OC 7800GT = + $144 graphics - plus get Quake 4 for free
So overall, this system would have been $60 more expensive than your initial setup, but probably 60% faster for gaming.
