Which of thier previous albums is it most like? On Lamentations they said they might be doing some kind of "bridge into black metal"thing, but ive been told from people who've heard it already, that they didnt exactly go through with that.

A lot like blackwater park/deliverance but way more mature, vocals are 1000x better, riffs are amazing, it's more technical than their previous works.

Wait, it's officially released? I thought it was coming out at the end of August. I've heard The Grand Conjuration (heard it live for the first time ever!) and Ghost of Perdition and they kick all sorts of ass. Can't wait to get it. I'll probably pick this and the new Arch Enemy up soon.

Okay, so I was right. I'm going to wait until it's officially released to listen to it. Everything is so much better when you listen to it on the way home from the music store.![]()

Geeez... this guy sounds like a demon. How can you listen to this? I'm all for experimentation, but this has no value.

All Death metal bands use the growling style of vocals. If you don't like this because of the growls, then don't listen to any death metal ever. It is not for all.Originally posted by: Proletariat

Some of their more mellow stuff sounds a bit like Porcupine Tree, however, that is a bit of a stretch. They really don't sound like anything out there. They are quite unique. Every album they release is different from the one before. It's amazing how they keep changing the style of the albums over time, and yet every CD that they release is one of my all time favorites.Originally posted by: TheNinja
