On yeah, and the ramp was on an uphill, probably... oh, I'm terrible at estimating hill grades. 10 degrees? So figure the shitbox would need even more time to reach speed.

not all Fusions are AWD. And obviously I am not comparing the fuel consumption of the AWD to the FWD.

I will do such a comparison. Is it fair? No. Is it valid by my criteria? Yes. Is my criteria more important to me than fairness? Absolutely.

And that criteria states that AWD shall be given preference over FWD. Thus, the Fusion would be chosen as AWD (because it can have it), and the Mazda as FWD (because AWD isn't an option).

:awe:

right. You should just say you prefer the Mazda :colbert:

I like Mazdas too, but fuel economy-wise don't hold your breath.

Okay. I prefer the Mazda.

I do appreciate the input. Despite your excessive bias towards realism that insists I can't look at really nice cars. 🙁

I get 18-19, I drive 9k miles per year. Fuel economy is fairly low on my list of priorities. Actually, it's really, really low on the list.

I drive an AWD, there is no fuel economy to speak of.
