I have too much to do and am getting more and more piled on me and I am about done with it. I am not working overtime to get this stuff done. I learned that lesson from my last job.
Apparently, someone was walking across an athletic field here wearing just boxer briefs. The ice delivery guy just told me, we laughed.
I think the rear suspension in my car needs to be replaced, it feels increasingly sloppy, side-to-side roll coming from the back.

Salaried. If I were hourly, I probably wouldn't mind.

At my last job, I used to work all kinds of long hours. I got good raises but not enough to pay me for all the extra time I put in and the stress that came with it. I won't make that mistake again. I'll put in extra time for a project here or there, but not to cover up for management's inability to properly resource a project especially when there is literally nowhere for me to go here in terms of advancement -- I report to the top IT person in the company.

My car's engine sounds like it is starting to chug a little. I'd really like it to last me another year or two but that may not happen.
I guess ten years is about the expiration date for a Grand Prix. Your mileage?
No advancement, so all you can do is piss them off badly enough to free yourself.
I'm resuming the car shopping.
Oh, and I might try to build the bench instead of buying. Purchase is about $200, if I can build a decent one for about $50, that'll be acceptable. It'll fit with the wooden power rack too.

Audi, VW, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Mini Cooper, Jaguar... that's it, done with the Europeans.
None of them really interest me. Europeans have a nasty reputation for poor reliability, especially with regards to electric gremlins on the cheaper models, and absolutely everything for the upper models. Plus, the upper models cost far more than they're worth, especially as used cars.
Chevy, GMC, Buick, Pontiac (RIP). Ford, Mercury, Lincoln. Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep.
Chrysler just makes shitty cars, Dodge too (except the Viper, but that's besides the point), and Jeep is being contaminated.
