Intel MBs are typically more expensive. I paid $300 for the Rampage in my existing rig. I won't make that mistake again. I wish I could get some of those 4 GB DDR2 sticks to see if they do work in it because if so, I'd move it to a server build. I've seen some pretty nice SB boards for around the $170 to $200 mark.
I was kinda hoping I could find something with at least 8 SATA ports and UEFI in the $120 range, since that's what my current MB cost. That's an argument for AMD since I could get an AM3+ or whatever the newest board is and not worry it's going to be obsolete in a year.

You might see something like that going for $150 to $170 with 6 SATA ports.
 
I think I'm going to wait 17 months till my next cpu/mobo/ram upgrade. I think at that point my hackintosh will struggle to play some games
