Good news is, since most of these are built to be taken during the same semester, they're actually fitting decently... but I have a few oddballs that are sure to screw it up.
If they have tenure, it's not a good thing either.
In fact, the best teachers I've had have been paid lecturers, working on a year-to-year contract basis. They're motivated to be good, and they aren't getting a job based on research skills.
So I ALMOST get a Tuesday or Thursday free, but no, not quite, and instead, Thursday becomes utter bullshit, sprinting straight from there to work pretty much.
Oh, there is a Thursday lab, it's full already, 11-2. So then I'm getting on campus at 11AM, don't get to leave until 3PM, and then have work at 4PM at the other end of a 30 minute drive. Lunch? HAHA!
So the class at 44/35 now has 18 people on wait list.
Dear school,
That means 62 people have already, just 13 days after open enrollment, have added this one class section. That means you need to open another section, and you are highly advised to open it at the same time slot, because that is what fits with the other junior fall engineering courses. Find another teacher, or give the current teacher a TA or two.
