It was sitting next to a hardtop convertible 328i. Pretty neat, I didn't realize it was a convertible until I read the window sticker, and then looked at the roof and it became clear.

The M3 is just a pimped out 3 series, could be why. I don't want to seem like I'm dissing BMW's on this forum though, too many "rich" people will tear me a new one.

Having the two side by side was helpful, and my conclusion is... they're hard to tell apart, but the 335xi was notably taller all over, less so on the roof itself though. Width and length appear the same.

Could be "track tuned" springs in the M3 that cause the height difference. I've always loved M3's and wish one day to own a Laguna Seca Blue M3. They are nice cars, that is true facts.

M3 is great though. NA V8 delivering 100 HP/L, and 9 pounds per HP or so. Looks great too.

If you can back your opinion, The Garage will at least be interesting. Don't mind the "rich" in OT who probably aren't as rich as they brag about.

If you'll excuse me, I have a supermodel waiting in my bedroom.

I'm talking 335 vs 328, no M3 was present on the lot.

The height was undoubtedly in the body itself, not off the height of the body over the ground. If I had to place a not yet verified guess, I would hypothesize, among other things, the motor has more height to it.

The 2012 3-series projected redesign... "The 2012 3 Series is expected to be powered by a new family of aluminum four-cylinder gasoline engines ranging from 135 to 220 horsepower. These will include new technologies such as variable intake- and exhaust-valve timing, sequential turbochargers, and direct fuel injection. The 220 hp four-cylinder may be included in US-bound models (the last four-cylinder 3 series was the 1999 318ti with a 138 hp engine).,[6] and the N54 3.0L twin turbo I6 may be replaced by a 2.0-liter sequential-turbo I4 engine with almost equivalent output. "

Fuck. that.

A 4 cylinder in a 3 series? It makes sense from the compact sedan point of view, but baffles my mind from the BMW view.

Why not just a good straight six?

Holy Norf BMW is drunk.

The dealership also had a 2009 Mazdaspeed 3 hatch, looked pretty sharp.

And a Subaru WRX with an aftermarket Pioneer DVD player, looked good too, but that it was a DVD player instead of a navigation.

Citi's automated CS phone system is predictably useless. Pressing 0 about ten times gets you to a person though, and I wasn't even left on hold, I guess everyone else is tied up in the computer system.

The CS rep told me that I don't need to mail in enrollment verification, it should update within the next couple weeks and restore my loan to its usual status. We'll see.
