Wife is being eerily quiet about a vacation now after our little "disagreement" yesterday. I can only imagine that once we complete our taxes tonight and find out our refund, she'll be nagging me again.
 
We were just going to spend a few days in Tampa. Then she found a "deal" for 6 or 7 days in Spain. Once you added the government fees, etc. it was more per person than our entire Tampa trip. I told her no and she threw a fit and said she didn't want Tampa and it was either Spain or a Caribbean island.

On the surface, it was a good deal. $699 per person for 7 days/6 nights in southern Spain and included airfare, hotel, and breakfast. But that didn't include all the various government fees, transportation to/from the airport, or the 3 sidetrips which you would definitely want to take. With all that thrown in, it was about $1330 per person. That is still probably a decent price considering everything you got for it, but it isn't something I want to spend the money on right now.
