I like big words, but this philosophy text takes it to a disgusting level that screams the dude either really needs to go out in the real world and do SOMETHING, or he owns a copy of every thesaurus ever made. I'm leaning towards the former, since he's a philosopher.

It's clear in my own writing when I know what I'm saying and have a goal I'm reaching, and when I'm just bullshitting around. The key is in the introductory words of each sentence - short little words that aren't really necessary are the hallmarks of bullshit writing.

Lets think about this for a second though... you have a long regular residential type road. At some point along this road, there is another road that splits off at a 30 degree angle, such that if you are driving on the primary road W, turning your car thirty degrees to the right will take you down secondary road P.

An SUV pulls up to the end of road P, looking to take a left, therefore crossing one lane of traffic to merge with the next. The road is frequently empty, it is not a high traffic area. A car pulls up on the right side of the SUV, looking to take the right. He is unable to see over the hood of the SUV, and if he pulls out far enough to look, he will be in the lane.

However, there is a highly logical conclusion to reach if you are the driver of the second car. You are able to see to your right, of course, and there is nothing coming. That the SUV does not move proves that there must be something coming in the right hand lane.

What does the particular geriatric asshole in this tale do? Pulls out anyways, because what does he care, everybody needs to cater to his supreme elderly impotence.
