For me it fixes that graphics blurry text issue with dell monitors. yah!

However..

"Our next December driver update will include one fix which has resolved TDRs in some of the end users boards. But at this point, we do not believe we will fix all of the symptoms until the January driver. "

I know TDR is a big problem right now for lots of people.

Will this be a beta ? Or a WHQL .. you guys have 16 days left to give us this Christmas present.

ALSO,, what happened to the FPS limiter,, will that option ever be in the nvpanel ?

Huh? Nvidia drivers are worse than AMD, where the hell have you been since the Fermi launch?? I can only assume head in the sand with a rock on top.

Gotta assume they'll have one before the official TOR launch.

I've been riding the 290.36 beta since dec 1st.

You posted that the 15th.... you make it sound like youve gone months without updates, not 14 days. ^-^

Tweakboy you trolling again? can you show some proof of AMD drivers stinking? This stigma that nvidia forum trolls purpetuate about "bad drivers" has to stop at some point. Its silly and untrue, and annouying haveing to read about all the time by nvidia fanboy users (that probably dont own or ever will a AMD card, so are just talking from their asses).

I seem to remember alot of nvidia drivers that have killed/fried cards ect, funny I cant ever recall AMD haveing that issue.

He did not actually say if official or beta in thread.

Me personally the drivers have been terrible from Nvidia the last 3 months or so. For each release they introduce more problems, be in graphical, missing features, etc. Just a random example here is the last 3 driver releases under Heaven benchmark. They seem to get WORSE over time.

1st driver..the CPU is my "older" quad core..is only difference between the 3.

you have it in reverse AMD hardware is good, drivers blow, and nvidia hardware is good, and drivers are good too.. :)
AMD has higher power consumption and has inferior mipmapping. Their depth calculations also aren't as good as nvidias. Nvidia's hardware has great features, but they don't let you force many of them (they took away the force trilinear mipmapping option and that pisses me off to no end). It's also stupid how they introduced the TDR bug. I guess there is just no reason for them to fix anything.

Will you guys stop talking about power consumption on freaking gaming cards. It makes no sense at all.
