new nvidia driver problem....

i got the latest detonator problems (version 28.32) and after installing them, it reset everything including the 60hz refresh rate fix (im using win2k). for some reason, i cant fix it back with te nvidia refresh rate fix, apparently my video adapter "isnt supported" even after updating the list. is anyone else having this problem and, is there a solution?!? thanks for your time! appreciate it! ? dave
 
Yes, the fix is to replace the nv4_disp.inf with this one. I had the best results uninstalling the 28.32's, unzip the .exe file to a folder, replace the nv4_disp.inf, reboot PC, then reinstall the drivers. You can then use the refresh rate program. 🙂
 
I'm still using 27.42 myself, which has proved to be an excellent driver. Regarding the refresh rate problems, I just use MultiRes which is powerstrips' small freeware cousin. It works like the Win9x screen taskbar icon and once you have set your resolution you can also change the refresh rate which it will remember for you.
