Take a look.

Nvidia has just released (or leaked...), thanks to dell, it's new CP in Geforce Go Beta drivers. But since they use the same GPU, the same drivers were modified to work with desktop stuff too.

And Guess what, the new Control Panel is a tad BUGGY. Well, it is a beta driver, and hopefully the issues will be resolved.

Darn, I was hoping they had finally released a version based upon .NET Framework. Oh well, thank god for ATI! ;)

i tried the drivers. the new CP is definately not as good as the old one. its sort of a copy of Ati's. also, the driver is ok, i get decent FPS in CoD2.

I hope they don't bust the refresh rate forcing page. This is one of the very good advantages nVidia has over ATi.

FINALLY !!!!!!!!

I?ve recently bought the new DELL 9400 laptop and was looking for some new drivers to use with the 7800 GO graphics card. The nVidia website had only drivers for the 7800 GO GTX (I have the none GTX).

I shall try this out, thanks OP :D

So, has the CP become the new feature of significance of Video cards? Seems to me the CP's importance has been blown way out of proportion. Colour of the PCB has more significance. Maybe it's just me, but the amount of times I go into the CP within a year can be counted on 1 hand.

It seems some people around here spend more time fiddling around in video card control panels than they do playing games.

I personally use my CP a lot. Lots of tweaking options.

I like ym NV CP, I dont think I'll be giving these a whirl.... :disgust:

Are these .NET or not? If they are I'm definately not going to try them.

The only reason i am interested, is not in the interface but because the fact it's an up to date driver, that hopefully improves performance due to the fact its running on a dual core system. The driver i have to use on my laptop (the one supplied) is an early 7x.xx version. Considering i have a dual core laptop i was looking to get the latest update so that i could get the best performance (Dual core support). I tried to google for an update but i couldn?t find anything.

I think because the graphics chip/board that i am using in the laptop is so new there is no proper driver for it yet (there is none on the nVidia website), as i think it is a somewhat thrown together joby from DELL until official drivers get released. Maybe an early rushed release from DELL I don?t know.

EDIT: Actually it looks like i am running rev 78.59. Screenie HERE. Does anyone know if this has dual core support? I didnt think that it had. There is no driver what so ever for this card on the net. I've only got the one supplied from DELL.

Only 8x.xx drivers have dual core optimizations.

Yeah, I noticed and wonder if the 7900GS implies a faster AGP interface part or is the current 7800GS also available as PCIe so it is not a given?

Is the new CP .NET Framework based or not? It is not running for some at guru3d... could it be because NF is not installed? Does CCC prompt for NF or just fail to load? Is there an easy way for anyone who has the beta CP to check if it us dependent upon NF?
