This is on your 7200GS laptop GPU right? Not sure if they promised any earth-shattering gains for laptop parts.....

Actually I have 7800GT card and Nvidia 8600m gt on my laptop,I never expect earth shattering speed improvements since they are always overhyped, stability is what I look for anyway I'm very happy with the 179.14s and CAT8.12s on my systems.

Actually the 180s showed very tangible gains on parts and games that could actually take advantage of the improvements. :) But ya for older/slower parts there's really no need to expect any major updates or improvements, especially if you're already overclocking your laptop!

I JUST SOLVED THIS PROBLEM:
The problem is with the international version of the Beta driver (which is 103mb) is bugged. It does not form an installation folder in which to install the driver components to which causes the drivers to be entered into the registery but effectively not exist.

THIS IS THE DODGY DRIVER : http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object...xp_180.84_beta_uk.html do not download this driver or it WILL cause your card to crash.

This driver i have just tested is an English version that works fine: http://nzone.com/object/nzone_gtaiv_downloads.html
Download this it will work with your card whether you are EU or UK, the only thing is it's only in English Language so if you don't speak English then your going to have a problem :).

Hi guys,

I present you a driver shootout, a test of 30 nVIDIA drivers, on a Dell Inspiron 1520 configuration, an iMAC and an Acer Aspire 6920G. First part, the one who handles the Windows XP drivers testing is over and published. The chart is composed in 2 parts, one with the results (points for 3DMarks and fps for Crysis games) and one with the information about it. When was the driver launched, if it has WHQL, PhysX and PhysX driver included, CUDA support, GPGPU folding client, Issues, New Features, Original Products supported (if you have a desktop board and you want to keep the WHQL status active)... and a whole article about what does ForceWare means.

The article is in romanian, but the datas are in english, so everyone could understand (if there are enough request, I will translate it all in english, somehow). Anyway, have a good time on my website and be sure to visit it from time to time, the charts get updated every time a new driver will be released (and we will also include older models too).

The article is here> http://www.co2-solid.ro/cel-ma...entru-notebook-ul-tau/

P.S. Please give me your feedback, we want to make it perfect for you. And you could use the RSS feeds to get the updates and stay in touch.

Yours...
CQ
