NV40's introduction is just weeks away.

Yeah..weeks from introduction, yet months from actual sale.

1ST NV bash of thread.

The hell is that a bash? Until there's been silicon out to the previewer channels, I don't expect to see an "announced" card for at least two months.

Normally it does take a couple of months for things to actually get out. Since we're a few weeks away from "introduction", I would suspect that means at least 2 months away from actual availability. It's not bashing, it's an almost certainty, and means there's nothing to really get hyped about.
And ATi will probably have something fairly soon as well, but similarly it won't be out for a while.

I never see aTI's CEO going around unzipping his pants and waving around his schlong to the competition 4 months before a product is released. aTI was dead quiet before R300 (9700 pro) came out and messed up nVidia's ego. Booohoo...nvidia never saw what was coming. aTI keeps its mouth shut until a couple of weeks before release. Not that nVidia's strategy is bad, it's good for investor's and keeps us techie's entertained while nV CEO is dropping his load in front of everybody.

Both companies are in the same business, but operate at different degrees.
