new notebook from Gateway, leave current install or start frsh from the restore cd?

My work just bought a notebook for me to use and it came installed with XP pro and lots of junk. I was going thorugh removing crap and gopt all configured how I like and then realized I should have probably started frsh by doing a clean install from the CD that came with.

Should I leave it how it is or start over? Anyone know what that music is that plays when you are setting up XP for the first time? I looked through all the wav files and couldn't find it?

The restore CD probably contains all the crap you are trying to uninstall. If you have an actuall windows CD, then install that from scratch, but if it says "restore" CD, it'll have all of Gateway's pre-installed apps included too.
