The board does not like like it is readily available. ZipZoomFly's not in stock, and NewEgg carried the info for a while, with an ETA of 02/23/05, when the page just disappeared...
Does anyone here have any personal experience with this board?

I'm thinking of getting this board, too. I've seen a few people say it's ugly, but I think it's gorgeous with all the bright colours. Would look great in a windowed case, I think. Those of you buying it on newegg, please be aware that there is one that is sold without the wireless network device, and one that includes it. I'm also assuming that the round cables come with the board that has the network device, as well (the pictures don't show anything).

The SiS 180 is the same thing you get inside SiS southbridges, incarnated as a discrete PCI chip.

And the ECS NF4-754 board has finally become available, at least here in Germany.

EFI? Load of marketing hype, so far. When it actually comes forth (and that'll be a LONG while still), it'll be more about what firmware _extensions_ can do after the basic firmware (aka BIOS) is done initializing the hardware. This is where legacy BIOS restrains hurt the most - things like RAID controller firmware ROMs are VERY space constrained inside the ROM space given by traditional PC architecture.

Conventional x86 PC architecture allows you to have 128KB worth of boot ROMs. This includes things like your video card, bootable LAN, SCSI/IDE/SATA/RAID cards, pretty much anything with a BIOS or some type of firmware on it. Obviously, having too much stuff will not work. Nothing to do with that board, but with most PC boards.
