New Nforce drivers(2.42)

I did yesterday

I will not be installing the 2.42s. I have no problems with the IDE driver and I don't use onboard audio
 
From reading the 2.41 release notes.... it seems all the 2.42 drivers do is remove the IDE driver , at least I think
 
Wow, it looks like NVIDIA is releasing nForce drivers like they do the detonators, lol.
 
Schadenfroh: so which IDE driver are you using now? Since v2.42 doesn't come with an IDE driver 😕
default MS standard IDE driver?

pah..GREAT :frown: Does this mean that nVidia actually acknowledges that there IS a problem with the IDE drivers? BTW I'm not experiencing any kinda trouble. Just curious.

these things have graphics driver in them? did they do anything to my detanatorfx's that i already have installed?
 
on my w2kpro installation the drivers...

1. did not remove the nvidia sw ide drivers
2. downgraded my video driver

i have to go back to the generic ms ide drivers manually if i run into any problems
