New network card increased download speed by 15kbytes/sec?

i bought a asus m2r32-mvp mobo.
it came with a marvell gigabit network card.
link: marvell.com (http://www.marvell.com/drivers...splay.do?driverId=175)

my usually download max is 70kbytes/sec on my laptop and old computer.
i have 768k dsl.

with this network card, it's saying my dl is 89kbytes/sec.

i got the latest drivers, and it still says that.

so if the network card is misreporting the speed to winxp, there's nothing i can do about it?

89kbyte/s is faster than I would have expected 768kbit DSL to give you.

I wouldn't expect anything higher.
