New movie "Ultraviolet" starring Milla Jovovich

http://imdb.com/title/tt0370032/
same director as equilibrium as well

looks like it might be another sleeper hit like equilibrium as well.. although they got more of a budget this time from sony 🙂

equilibrium meets aeon flux meets resident evil
🙂
should be good.. when's it come out?

Milla Jovovich's character uses a more authentic variant of "Gun Kata" - a unique blend of gunfighting and martial arts developed by director Kurt Wimmer for his previous film Equilibrium (2002).
from imdb

I'd watch it, but Milla doesn't seem to have the same presence as Christian Bale, or his "voice" while narrating. It just doesn't have the feel to me.

Read the trivia for Equilibrium and you'll learn that Ultraviolet is how Gun Kata was intended to me. Equilibrium showed the martial arts advisor's interpretation, not the creator's.

She has seriously been typcast. Shes like the female Van Damme now.

I was thinking the same exact thing. The begining just sounded as if it were resident evil 😛 Regardless, she's hot 🙂

Government creates super soldiers, something goes wrong, super soldiers rebel against the sytem. How do they come up with these ideas?

And Hollywood is wondering why people would rather stay home than paying $10 to see a movie.

Not a fan of the black hair

Why not? What other color hair would you expect for Lucy Lawless??

Oh wait... That isn't Lucy Lawless in that trailer. My mistake.

Here's the trailer...style looks very similar to Equilibrium as does the premise, somewhat...but hell, I'll probably still go see it. 🙂

grammartech clerics rule!

too bad Equilibrium as a movie sucked otherwise (bewsides the action sceens)

equilibrium was a good movie, I thought. the action scenes could have been better given a bigger budget. thus why im looking forward to this movie. action scenes might end up being really, really good.
