Good movie, plus they have a topless scene with one of my top 5 women (Jennifer Espositio)
thats what made the movie great. 😛 but seriously, ever since 'spin city' ive thought she was hot. hell, i even saw 'dracula 2000' in the theatres! (okay, actually i went in because another movie i paid for was still about 30 minutes from starting)

Another art/commentary movie that uses recent events and race card to drive the film.

It has Tarantino style that utilizes flash back to develop the story making it confusing to watch. Flash back is a tired old trick in many Asian movies especially Chinese movie to stretch/reuse footage, however the Asian have it down to an art and isn?t as confusing as the Hollywood version.

Asians have it down to an art?

I'm sure of that.

Really.

I am.

Anyways it was a pretty good movie. Had its flaws but overall the direction, acting and cinemotagraphy made up for any misgivings.

And you didn't start a new thread about it? :Q

Talk about going against the grain around here.

Excellent movie. I honestly do not believe anyone who says that guessed ALL of the plot twists. I was certain that the little girl was going to die, and Ryan Phillipe's plotline caught me completely off guard.

Personally, I identified way too much with Don Cheadle's character. That was hard for me to watch.

I was just happy to see that all of the characters were flawed. And did anyone else notice the repeated misidentified guardian angel theme? It happens several times in the movie. I think it's commentary on the flaws of common perception - on an individual basis. Very intriguing concept.

The score was absolutely wonderful and really tied the movie together.

There's no such thing as a perfect film, but this was one of the best Ive seen in quite some time. 9.5/10.

You know they talked about this movie in church the other day, talking about how these guys wrote the original script and it was real fluffy and fake, and they could tell it sucked because it wasn't real. Then they rewrote it and they had to be truthful in what they were writing, even if it was hard to be. Like, they had to write what they were really thinking and all that. Pretty crazy. They were also talking about the set being uber hostile and uncomfortable during the filming. I could understand that too. It's just crazy to think how much that must have affected everyone who was involved in it. You know? Like I think it would have opened my eyes even more if I were there.
