Having a problem getting on Morpheus the last couple of days. So I wnet to Musiccity.com and just saw this.

"Morpheus Preview Edition will be available in two hours, check back to download software that allows you to connect to the Morpheus/Gnutella P2P network

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU CLICK A recent press statement announced that KAZAA/Sharman Networks has a new program that allows you to re-connect to the Kazaa/FastTrack Network. This new program is NOT endorsed by MusicCity and will NOT allow you to connect to the Morpheus/Gnutella P2P network. We find it interesting that someone sent a message to your computer earlier this week which prevented your Morpheus Software product from joining the network and now a new software installer suggests that it allows you to re-connect. Remember with Morpheus, no spy ware just a great P2P software product.

Our goal is to create the software that lets you create the network ... "

And if you don't know, Morpheus is the best P2P file trader.

So go get it.... Here it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just downloaded it and tried it out. It's okay, but I like the old one better. Nice looking layout though. I am using WinMX until Morpheus is totally complete with this new change.

I just got the new morpheus... Is it a preview or a real release? I can't seem to connect to the morpheus network, only the limewire network. this doesn't seem as good as the old morpheus....

What do you think about this new version? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I am a little confused with the details of this P2P. From reading at Ars Technica I got the impression that there are only two major P2P networks.

The FastTrack network made up of users running Morpheus, Grokster, and KaZaA software, seach results the same on each.

The Gnutella network made up of users running BearShare, Gnotella, Direct Connect, WinMX, and eDonkey. Or is Gnutella a protocol and the networks are seperate (for each Gnutella client).

Thanks

>>stealing copyright material isnt a hot deal

Didja catch the primadonna on grammy night crying about the loss of the $15 CDs that we were promised would be $7.99 within 2 years (of 1983). Hard to have sympathy for an industry that nets the artists about a buck per CD. I wonder if the artists would mind if the CDs were released digitally for, say, $3-5. I use WinMx, but only for legal files. I could never violate the trust that the industry has violated.
