New Monitor Needed

I need a new monitor. I don't want to spend too much. It should be at least 19" and should support 1280 x 1024 at a good refresh rate - 100 Hz would be the sweet spot. I'll be using it for gaming and I also do a fair bit of image editing, and use CAD type software. Oh, no fish tank monitors 😛 I think a flat screen CRT is the way to go, but I have no idea what brand/model to get. Please tell me your suggestions, people 😀

I'm a ViewSonic fan. More expensive than cheapies, but better than others at their price.

I just got the Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 930 SB

I have it set to 1280 x 1024 @ 85Hz

It rocks. I love this thing. it was ~300 at newegg.

btw, isnt 100 to high? i am sure i read somewhere that it is bad to be to high too? 85Hz is like recommened.

Why on earth would it be bad? 60Hz makes my eyes bleed in under half an hour. 85Hz is acceptable. With 100Hz, my eyes would never get sore 😀.
