I told myself I'd hop on this deal once it got below $400, so, I did.

I edited some of my backgrounds to fit 1680x1050 natively. Looks ok IMO.

I just got a 19" from Dell. It's so big it's making me nauseus.

How is the 20"? I contemplated on that, but I just can't see myself playing games on a WS.

It's nice, a *HUGE* improvement over my 19" Viewsonic CRT. BUT, I wish I had the money to get dual 24"s. Once I get out of college that's what I want.

The clarity of the text is amazing compared to my CRT. I turned on cleartype as well.

How did you cope with it's brightness? It was super intense bright for me and gave me a head ache. After a few days I got used to it and LOVE IT.

Best LCD ever.

How did you get that curve to your desk? It's sweet!

Nice keyboard too.

Seriously. There is about ZERO comparison between the two.

hahaha, It was a cheap desk bought at Staple's for $100 bucks about 3 years ago. The CRT was so heavy that it curved it. The keyboard, wow that's the only thing I haven't replaced since my first computer. It's about 10 years old. I had kept the same keyboard and speakers ever since my first ever computer (Quantex P200mmx), but since my discovery of hot deals and RSS, everything is slowly fading out to new stuff. :)

what kind of viewsonic crt, im still debating on 2005 and viewsonic 19" crt i mostly game

It's a Viewsonic P95f. Perfectly flat 19" monitor bought 2 years ago for $254 shipped to the door. I regretted it the day it came. I thought I had researched it enough but I didn't. The text on it pretty much sucked. But I toughed it out till now. It's now the monitor for my linux box (upgraded from a 14" WOW!)

Thread jack, anybody know the best way to watch tv on my 2001fpw? Cable box has video and audio out (yellow and white) and s-video out. I got the picture to show up on the LCD but what's the best way of getting the sound to my speakers?
