This is the official moderator nomination thread for Cases & Cooling.

We will compile a list of nominees through Monday night. Voting on nominees will take place in this thread Tuesday through Thursday. The candidate with the most votes will have the opportunity to become a moderator for this and one other secondary non-social forum of their choosing.

Either before or after the vote, a candidate can withdraw his or her name from consideration. In the event that the candidate with the most votes withdraws his or her name, the candidate with the next most votes will be extended the opportunity, and so on.

AnandTech resevers the right to veto nominations at our discretion. We will do our best to allow you to pick the candidates you feel best suit the needs of your forum, but we won't allow members who can't follow guidelines to be put in a position to enforce them on others.

We will keep a list of nominees in this thread. If a nominee has been vetoed or has withdrawn their name from consideration, a note will be made next to their name. This will be done to prevent multiple posts nominating the same member. If the member you want to moderate this forum is already on the list, please don't post.

Please only post the name of the nominee in your replies. Please make sure it is spelled correctly before posting.

NOMINEES:
aigomorla

Zepper has helped myself and others out more times than I can recall with case modding/questions/info....so he gets my vote.

aigomorla really deserves this.....

from the looks of it, its either zepper or me.

And zepper is a great guy also, so if either of us gets it, this section will be in good hands.

Actually (with less than 75 total votes so far) it looks as though the denizens of this section don't care enough to vote - just like in the real elections. So it would be just as well if the admins simply take care of it - offer it to their top prospect and if s/he declines, move on to the next likely person, etc. It would be even better to just make a computerized list of the regulars and have their computer choose the "winner" at random.
. I've often thought that that's the way the real elections should be done - make lists from the social security rolls of people who meet the criteria for an office and select them at random - surely the outcome couldn't be worse than what the election process has produced over nearly the last hundred years. At least the clueless voters wouldn't be involved...
. Well, give it the weekend to see if interest picks up.

395 views and 75 votes?

I motion that moderator rights be given to both Zepper and aigomorla and the election be dropped. Can I get a second?

Aye, Aye, Skipper!
Actually if you look at the percentages compared to cpu, C+C has a better ratio for views and votes.
Hey zepper, at least in our election the nominees are qualified, In 2004 I voted for the guy I disliked the least, 4 years later I like him less. This year,,, I flip a coin,
to vote, or not to vote, that is the question.

I've looked deep into my crystal ball and It's going to be Mc Cain/Guliani beating out Obama/Clinton in a veritable landslide. I'm not showing up to the polls. I didn't show up to polls four years ago either. I'll have to find it and post it in our politikin forum but, there was a graph done that highlited the stated by their vote 4 years ago, the arranged by the states average I.Q. and I think there was 1 or 2 overlaps at the best with Bush supporters taking up the very bottom of the list, sorted highest to lowest.
