New model camcorder - Panasonic PV-GS150

I'm was in the market for a new camcorder.
This was the best deal I've personally seen on a decent 3CCD camcorder.
This is also Panasonic's newest model 3CCD camcorder. (along with the gs65 and gs250)

Everyone else sells it for $550+.

First: 3CCD without optical image stabilization isn't really worth the money. Get one with optical image stabilization and it'll really be worth your money.

Second: That store sucks. Send your money in if you like taking risks and throwing it away.

Just a quick update. This package *DID NOT* include a battery and charger. What a bunch of crooks. Purchasing a battery and a charger cost another $180.

Cancelled my order.

I just got the PV-GS120 through Circuit City for $499. When looking for low prices I always checked resellerratings.com. Just about anybody with a good price had tons of horror stories.

I have the GS-120. It is a great camcorder, but image stabilisation is so so. The 1 megapixel still pics are fair at best. The 2.3 megapixel still camera in the new 150 should be quite a bit better. Looks like it is closer to the GS-200 than the GS-120.
