Yay! My Gigabyte 7vrxp v1.1 (kt333) officially died and now I need to find a new one. I have a AMD 2100+ XP with 512 Hyperx ram and ati 9700pro. What mobo do you guys suggest I get? Im looking for one that is just as good or better than my gigabyte. Im probably leaning towards a Nforce board but I dont really know which one would run great with my setup. And of course it would be in a decent pricerange (50 to 100). THANKS!

Lotsa really fine NForce2 boards out there in that range. On the low end ($62) look to the Shuttle AN35N. Nice stable little board. Midrange, consider the ABIT NF7 ($78) and closer to $100 look at Abit's NF7-S ($100) and DFI Ultra Infinity ($93). The last two boards have incredible overclockability (a word?) and great onboard sound. You can't go wrong with any of these, just decide what features you like and go for it. All prices from Newegg.com.

Thanks, I've been looking around and the Abit NF7-S seems to be a favorite by alot. Plus its $97 at zipzoomfly. One question about the onboard sound...would it be better than my SB Live 5.1 Platinum? I know it's a cpu hogger and wondering if I'll get better performance with the Abits onboard sound. Thanks
